Explain the situation and explore the reasons for this feeling. What were the results? What, if anything, could you have done to change the situation?
Describe, in detail, a specific situation where you had power or authority over others. Explain how you handled it. Describe the response of the people over whom you had authority. As you look back, did you use that power fairly? How do you know? Would you handle the situation the same way now, or differently?
Describe, in detail, a situation where you felt a need for acceptance. What was it about that situation which caused you to feel that need? What was the result? How does this translate to a correctional environment? What needs do you have in this area that you have to become more aware of?
Describe a specific situation where you helped someone solve a personal problem. What did this person learn from this situation? What did you learn?
What are your prejudices, and how do you compensate for them? After careful thought, list your known prejudices and biases, and what you can or must do to make sure they do not affect your work.
